Robert D Becker is the owner and president of R.D. Becker Valuation LLC. Robert is an Illinois State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and holds the Appraisal Institutes MAI and SRA designations.  Robert specializes in tax appeal work focusing on big-box stores, large retail developments and industrial properties.  Robert has completed mass assessment work for Coles County and is sought after in real estate tax appeals.  In addition to the Appraisal Institutes premier designations, he holds a bachelor degree in finance from Eastern Illinois University.

Robert and his wife Kristin are owners of BMI Properties; a real estate investment company, which focuses on a variety of property types in Central Illinois.  Robert served as Mattoon Street Commissioner from 2011 to 2013; where he helped manage the city’s $35 million budget.  During his tenure, he supervised the initial stages of a $20 million sewer project and initiated the city’s first comprehensive plan since 1964.

Giving back to the community is one of Robert’s passion and does so through Mattoon Rotary.  Robert received the rookie of the year award, served two terms on the board of directors, served as club president and is a two-time Paul Harris Fellow.  He also volunteers at the local food pantry and Habitat for Humanity.  In 2010, he received the 20 under 40 Award for service and contribution to the community.  Robert resides in Trilla, IL with his wife Kristin; where they are devoted parents to their son Jackson.
